    Random BSOD, ntoskrnl.exe

Hey guys, first time posting here
So a couple of days ago I downloaded a file which was an installer for a game which my Antivirus (Avast) deemed safe but after installing the game, I started experiencing slow performance and unable to use any web browsers and occassionally experiened BSOD. I thought that a virus or malware infected my computer so I scanned my computer for viruses with AVAST and malware with Malware Bytes. After removing all infected files, the web browsers started to work and computer performance improved but not fully, although I thought scanning my computer should've help fixed the occuring BSOD, it still continued to happen but it happens randomly instead of occassionally. I even tried using chkdsk but it will give me the same BSOD screen at around 10% therefore does not give it a chance to finish scanning. Every BSOD I manage to catch a glimpse of the executable file that was specified which was ntoskrnl.exe. I tried looking around for solutions but so far no good although the BSOD is happening more rarely but nonetheless still occurs. Therefore I was wondering if anyone could decode what could the problem be?
