Windows 7 Crashes every 2 hours

Whenever I leave my computer on or while I'm playing a game, Windows 7 crashes on me at regular intervals at about 2 hours. Everything shuts off except the monitor, and as soon as I turn the computer back on, it runs for about 2 hrs then shuts off again. Any Suggestions?

Isn't that the scheduled nag for an expiring RC license? Check your system date.

The beta version of Win7 has expired and has a 2 hour timeout built in.
The RC is still good AFAIK.

Unless the OP fills in his system specs, we'll never know for sure, but it sounds like he has the RC version ... time to upgrade to Enterprise eval -=> here

The builds prior to 7100 are already expired.

RC build 7100 starts bi-hourly shut downs March 1st, 2010 and expires June 1st, 2010. I'm still running the RC on 2 machines without a problem.

I have a neighbor who complained about his machine shutting down every 2 hours I told him why but rather than let me upgrade (clean installs only) he put the computer clock back a year. rotflmao

Unfortunately, for some of us, this is no longer an option...

I didn't know that. I have the 7000 build, thankfully I know now that my cpu is still good. So setting my clock a year back will stop the 2 hour shut down?
