BSOD when system exits sleep mode. 0xc000009d - STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONN

Hello Everyone,

I am experiencing an intermittent blue screen of death after waking my PC from sleep mode. The system operates normal after restarting and will continue operating normal as long as I do not allow it to re-enter sleep mode.

I have attached a zip file containing the dump files along with any other relevant information you may need to analyze the problem.

The PC is a HP Compaq DC7900 Small Form Factor desktop that came stock with Windows Vista installed. The system was refurbished and now has Windows 7 Professional x64 installed.

Any help with the issue would be greatly appreciated. Please forgive me if the information included is not significant for analysis. This is my first time posting to any type of forum.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Regards

Thanks for the quick response! I actually did complete several of these tests prior to my inquiry here. I probably should have mentioned that, my apologies!

Please give me a little time to report back with the results and thanks for the help!

Hello again,

I used the "chkdsk /r" command and found no errors on the disk. I also used an application called SeaTools by Seagate to further check the disk for errors and received passing results. As a third HDD test, I used the DSP HDD Test found in the system's BIOS, again no errors found.

I downloaded the Memtest86+ tool and allowed the test to run twice. I received passing results both times. I ran the "sfc /scannow" command with no problems found.

As per your recommendations, I've updated both ADIHDAud.sys and HECIx64.sys drivers with the latest from the manufacturer's website.

The problem still exists after performing a clean boot. I have not been able to resolve the issue thus far.

Any other suggestions? I notice when viewing the .dmp file in WinDbg there is an indication of a disk hardware error. Is it possible that the HDD is bad even though all tests have indicated otherwise?

The new report is attached, sorry about that. I have posted some screen shots of the crystal disk test along with a couple from the latest dump file.

I disabled sleep mode and have not had a problem all night or day today.

Have you tried updating the firmware for your SSD ?

No, I probably should have specified that in my initial post. The PC that's giving me trouble is not the one from my profile. This is a computer I'm preparing for my kids and does not have an SSD.

To answer your question, however, I have installed the latest firmware update for the HDD.

Thanks!
