    BSOD Stop: 008e


    Hello,

    I am trying to help out a friend with one of his laptops that recently BSOD.
    He is getting the error code: 0000008e.

    It eventually Blue screens in normal and safe mode.

    Here is the attachment to Diagnostic Tool:

    avgidsfilterx.sys - AVG software

    Uninstall AVG and install MSE

    iaStor.sys - Intel Storage drivers
    click on the " I accept the terms in the license agreement " to start downloading.
    Update the Intel Storage drivers

    Update the BIOS

    I recommend uninstall McAfee .

    Friend ended up not listening to your advice. They ended up calling techsupport 3 or 4 times. Finally, the tech support guy on the fourth call ended up coming to the conclusion you did, Vista...

    I am not sure how or even if they fixed it. I appreciate your time though. Might update with how they fixed it if they did to help others
