BSOD playing Shogun 2 - Memory management error

So I've been having these BSOD issues for a little while now and I have tried a lot of things to try and isolate and fix this issue. It seems to happen most often with Shogun 2 although I have had it happen outside of the game when I have too much going on at once but very rarely.

I recently installed windows 7 64bit on this comp and was running windows 8 32bit beforehand with no BSODs. On windows 8 the game was freezing but the pc wasn't crashing. I read that it may have been due to the fact it was a 32bit system and so far I haven't had any issues with freezing....but now the BSODs are plaguing me.

Things I have done after reading around:

    Updated my drivers
    Installed SP 1
    Run memtest

Memtest revealed some errors on my RAM and with a lot of swapping around I found that slot 2 and 3 on my mobo appear to give errors so I have removed the RAM from those slots and am running with 8gb now in slot 1 and 4. I got an all clear with memtest yesterday (I think I got to pass 10 overnight so I was pretty sure) and thought it was finally sorted until today during a particularly graphic intensive battle the BSOD returned.

I don't really know what to do now.

It looks like your BSODs are being caused by AVG:

    Code:
    fffff880`091005b8 fffff880`01eb3660Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\avgmfx64.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for avgmfx64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for avgmfx64.sys
     avgmfx64+0xe66
    Driver Reference Table - avgmfx64.sys

    Code:
    fffff880`09100298 fffff880`04813c5dUnable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\avgidsdrivera.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for avgidsdrivera.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for avgidsdrivera.sys
     avgidsdrivera+0x13c5d
    Driver Reference Table - avgidsdrivera.sys

Please uninstall it using the AVG Removal Tool then replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials - Settings - Create Shortcut and Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Tip when installing Malwarebytes be sure to uncheck the box asking you to start a free trial.

Thanks Dsprague, I did as you recommended but have just had the same issue again. Is there anything else you think might be causing it?

Try updating the firmware for your SSD, there does not seem to be any record of any crashes after the 29th of last month, also ensure that your computer is creating dump files upon crashing. and last if you use ccleaner be sure its not configured to delete dump files.
