Yes, it installs it flawlessly. All that I'm saying is that there are reported BSOD issues with this driver, and it's all that Microsoft has to offer, so I am left scratching my head as to whether I can use the controller or not. Sometimes I can play for days using it, other times its 5 minutes and then a crash.

Uninstall the software that comes with the Contoller that should remove the driver with it. Then restart the PC when you're back on the desktop plug the controller into the USB port and let Windows 7 install the driver itself . Use the PC play games that you normally do if you get a BSOD upload the dmp file using the program and click on grab all button .

That's exactly what I did earlier today, and got a BSOD. After the BSOD I removed sptd.sys from C:\Window\System32\Drivers\sptd.sys, rebooted, and then fired up my game Tera. 5 minutes of playing using my Xbox controller, and my PC completely froze, but there was no BSOD or .dmp to send Below is the requested information, and then some hehe.

Yes the tool provided to me in the above post was used and it worked successfully, I didn't have to manually delete it.

I'm not in front of a PC right now to check the attachment. I am on an iPad .

Not a problem, I appreciate the help that I have received using this forum. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that I might just have to learn to play this game using a keyboard, which makes me sad, as using a controller for an MMO game was/is a lot of fun

Have you tried updating the USB drivers from the Dell / Alienware website ?

What is the model of your PC ?
