Hi Windows 7 Forums. I am having a BSOD problem. The moment I log in and see the desktop, my Windows 7 system crashes and restarts. The only way I can use my computer is by launching it in safe mode. Unfortunately the installation is non-genuine.
The Key is that of a ACER/GATEWAY/PACKARD BELL OEM computer - and the motherboard
is a retail one by HP. This and your BIOS is dated 2005, Windows 7 came out in 2009:
The best course of action is to:
- Purchase a legitimate Windows 7 licence.
- Format the HDD.
- Reinstall Windows and activate.
