BSOD playing Dota2
BSODs only happen during Dota2. I haven't played many other games I don't know if its computer games that cause the BSOD or just Dota2.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.

How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If memtest comes clean, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.
InformationWhy Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.
How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.
WarningBefore enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.
If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.
Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.Tip
- If you fail to get on the Desktop because of DV, Boot into Advanced Boot Options > Safe mode. Disable DV there. Now boot normally again, and try following the instruction of enabling DV again.
- If you cannot boot in Safe mode too, do a System Restore to a point you made earlier.

Arc,

- Check your RAM. Your dump files indicate possible memory corruption, especially the Bugcheck 7F.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Make at least 8 passes. also take note on point #3.
See Arc's post above
- Do you, by any chance, overclock? If yes, return to stock settings. Overclock often results in system instability
- Try to update your DirectX drivers as it is causing the crash alsoCode:4: kd> !sysinfo cpuspeed CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz" MaxSpeed: 2800 CurrentSpeed: 2801

Cipley,
I don't know if my computer is overclocked. I did reset my bios to optimal settings recently (this was after the crashes started).
my computer just bsoded with the error message BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
I see that you have installed Service Pack 1. What about the other thing? You enabled Driver Verifier, does that mean that memtest came clean? How many passes you ran memtest?
Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.
Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
i ran memtest before i started this forum. I got around 7 passes. I didnt run memtest after that because my computer had stopped crashing. I recently moved my setup and my harddrive started making a weird sound at start up and sometimes while running. This is my hdd not my ssd, and my computer started crashing again.
Display driver is a problem here.
And it is the latest version installed.Code:******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information. Try to roll it back to an earlier version you installed, as the latest one causes issues in some cases.Code:fffff880`048b3000 fffff880`0535e000 nvlddmkm T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: nvlddmkm.sys Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys Image name: nvlddmkm.sys Timestamp: Fri Mar 15 07:07:00 2013 (51427B3C) CheckSum: 00A8D47C ImageSize: 00AAB000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Device Manager - Roll Back Driver
Also you need to enable Driver Verifier as suggested earlier, in the second post of the thread.
As you are thinking about the storage devices, check that the firmware of the OCZ-VERTEX3 SSD is up to date. OCZ Toolbox: Firmware & BIOS Updates
Let us know the situation.
I dont have the option to roll back my driver, mainly because i recently installed my windows and installed the latest nvidia driver. Also which option am i supposed to pick in OCZ?
