    BSODs when booting up computer

Hello, I got some BSOD troubles I hope you fine folks can help me with. So let me describe what's been happening:

Whenever I cold boot up my computer first thing in the morning, chances are the computer will get a BSOD. After maybe 15 minutes of shenanigans, the computer works just fine for the rest of the day, until I shut it off for the night and the whole thing starts over again.

Now, this has happened before, when I had Vista on this computer. It got so bad, I went to a local computer shop that offered a reformat along with a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and Office 2007 for $75 (iknowright?). And for a month it was peaches and cream, but now the BSODs have been rearing its ugly head again.

Anyway, I tried to look at the minidumps with BlueScreenView and Windows Debugging Tool, but I just can't make heads or tails of it, so I come to you folks. I'll attach the zipped file SF Diagnostic Tool created. Thanks.

had a look through your dump files and noticed a few things:

First it seems that zone alarm is causing your bsod:

    Code:
    fffff880`09217d88 fffff880`040f38a1Unable to load image vsdatant.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for vsdatant.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for vsdatant.sys
     vsdatant+0x8d8a1
    Driver Reference Table - vsdatant.sys

Please uninstall it and replace it with a combination of Microsoft security essentials and Malwarebytes Anti-malware

Tip: when installing Malwarebytes be sure to uncheck the box offering to start a free trial.

Update your bios it is very old:

    Code:
     BIOS Release Date 04/21/2008
updates can be found on the computer manufacturers webpage

    Hi Tony

Open up command prompt by clicking on type CMD inside Search programs and files . Press [ENTER]

In command prompt enter the following

    Code:
    systeminfo | find "BIOS Version:"
       Note

The | pipe symbol can be found using SHIFT + \ (just above the [ENTER] key)

Type the command below in the command prompt to locate the model of the laptop

    wmic csproduct get vendor,name,identifyingnumber

Thank you guys for the replies.

I uninstalled Zone Alarm. Should I also uninstall AVG Free Edition as well?

As for my system info and the BIOS, it's a HP Pavilion Elite m9250. Does the BIOS download on the HP website do anything to my Windows 7 installation, since it originally had Vista on it?

Run the command above to generate a list of the bios version . The bios doesn't do anything to the Windows 7 installation.

Ok, I just updated my BIOS. It is now American Megatrends Inc. 5.43, 9/10/2009. It used to be 5.23.

I got the BIOS update from the official HP website

HP Pavilion Elite m9200 Desktop PC series*-* IPIBL-LB Motherboard BIOS Update - HP Business Support Center

    I also installed Malwarebytes Antimalware

Hopefully that's the last of it, but I can't be sure until I turn off my computer overnight and cold boot it tomorrow.

I turned on my computer and worked on it for around an hour, no problem, so the early morning BSOD didn't appear this morning.

Now, before I declare this a victory for the good guys, I'll give this another week to see if it's truly gone.

Hello, it's me again. Got another BSOD problem, same symptoms of going haywire for the first 15 minutes.
