    7Explorer in x86 crashing, only after Keyscrambler...

    Explorer constantly crashes when I explore a large folder, it started as I was installing keyscrambler.

    My windows wouldn't even start up right, but then I uninstalled keyscrambler by going threw the task manager, and finding the uninstaller...restarted and windows started...

    Maby I need to clean my registry, and or file system, can anyone suggest a good software that will find these redundant files that are corrupting my machines 7-OS.......

    Either that or it had something to do with the features I disabled, but I could swear I only disabled the tablet feature.....

    Keyscrambler sounds like some sort of file encrypter. It might have messed up your file encryption. Have you tried doing a system restore yet?

    I made several system restore points, but then I go to restore, and windows tells me I have no restore points?

    I think ill just install directory opus and backup all my important data, then start out fresh, but I wish their was another way?

    Can anyone suggest a good system cleaner, maby I can clean out the crap instead of having to start out fresh...?

    Keyscrambler is actually a keystroke scrambler. I have it installed on my Ultimate x64 system. My guess is that it is conflicting with some other software on your computer. What AV software or security suite are you running?

    CCCleaner is a pretty good program for cleaning your registry. I would highly recommend it.

    Registry cleaners don't fix problems - they cause them.

    If you'd like to understand the Explorer crash:

    1) Fire up Regedit.
    2) Navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting
    3) Right-click in the empty white space, then "New", DWORD, call it ForceQueue and set the value to 1.
    4) Reproduce your Explorer crash.
    5) Check under C:\Users\<your_account>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive - there should be a new entry (folder) in there for your latest Explorer crash.
    6) Zip up the CAB file from that folder and upload it here.

    Analysis of the memory dump (MDMP) in that cabinet file may help to explain the Explorer crash.

    Something's not quite right. There's meant to be a CAB file after you add that registry value. The WER error report is just text and only marginally useful.

    Still, here's a list of "non standard" DLLs loading into your Explorer process:

    Code:
    LoadedModule[86]=C:\Program Files\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop\PGPwipe.dll
    LoadedModule[106]=C:\Windows\ehome\ehSSO.dll
    LoadedModule[188]=C:\Program Files\WinRAR\rarext.dll
    LoadedModule[189]=C:\Program Files\TotalAudioConverter\axTotalConverter.dll
    LoadedModule[190]=C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2010\shellex.dll
    LoadedModule[193]=C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2010\prremote.dll
    LoadedModule[194]=C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2010\prloader.dll
    LoadedModule[203]=C:\Program Files\Axon Data\AxCrypt\1.6.4.4\ShellExt.dll
    LoadedModule[204]=C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7-zip.dll
    Based on what you said about the "keyscrambler", I'm guessing the cause of the crashes is that "\Axon Data\AxCrypt\..\ShellExt.dll" binary. No way to be certain without the info in the CAB though.

    You can use this utility to test what happens when non-default Explorer extensions are disabled:

    ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
