Okay, have you tried placing the card in a different PCI/PCIe slot? As a result, of the disk controller errors, I'm wondering if simply the driver on the hard drive was affected, by the disk controller causing data to be misinterpreted.

Alright, a little update. I'm back from my convention and recovering from the Con Plague. I haven't tried switching PCIe slots on the videocard yet. Unfortunately I've been told I need to move by October, so I probably won't be able to send my motherboard in to get replaced/dealt with until after I get settled into my new place.

Another update~ As my move has been postponed I sent off my motherboard to be fixed/replaced/RMA'd by Asus. Should be a couple of weeks, which should also give me enough time to order some new, properly-compatible RAM.

Now a question: Should I do a fresh install of windows when I get things back?

I wouldn't, just keep your current installation and sorry for the really slow reply

No worries about the reply. ^_^

I am at a week and one day with the repaired motherboard and new RAM. So far, no bluescreens (hopefully I"m not jinxing it by posting this XD). Going to give it a few more days and then try installing my keyboard again, and then I'll give it a while more before marking this solved. ^_^

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Alright, I had another bluescreen... In theory. XD

I was playing a game (World of Warcraft, to be specific). The graphics driver died and restarted once before earlier, but after a restart of the game things were alright. Then the screen went black again and the motherboard beeped a few times. Video did not come back, so I flicked the power off and back on. The system restarted fine, but it said that there had been a bluescreen.

Sooo, added in the SFC files again. ^^;;;

I'm hoping it was just the video card/driver crapping out and not the previous issue. >.>

It seems most likely that the graphics card driver is causing some form of pool leak or excessive resource consumption, have you updated to the latest WHQL driver? They release them like 2-3 times a month now

No problem. I know how illness can crush one's hopes and dreams and productivity. ^_^ Hope you feel better soon!

I did an nvidia recommended update through the update manager, going to double check the nvidia site as well. ^_^

Thank you again for your help.
