ntoskrnl.exe BSOD mostly playing GW2 but also when idle

Hello all, I would be very grateful for any pointers on this problem.

I've had an increasing number of bluescreens over the last couple of weeks which led me to download BlueScreenView to see if it offered any insight. Things I have tried so far:

  • Initially thinking it was a graphics card driver problem, various clean installs of newer and older versions.
  • Windows disc check
  • Windows memory test
  • 11 passes of memtest86
But really I'm just flailing about at this point and don't have a clear idea what to try next. I have attached the files collected with the SF diagnostic tool.

Many thanks in advance.

In Device Manager:
This is the latest WHQL driver for your graphics card, please check within your Device Manager, if you have the latest version since the dump files can display the wrong dates sometimes.
  1. Download Driver
  2. Start Type: Device Manager
  3. Expand Display Adapters
  4. Right-Click Driver Name, Uninstall
  5. Reboot
  6. Run Driver Sweeper
  7. Reboot
  8. Install Downloaded Driver
Driver Sweeper will scan for any left over files from the old driver, old driver files can cause conflicts with new driver installations. Create a System Restore point beforehand, in case any problems or issues arise.

Driver Sweeper:Have you installed all the latest Windows Updates?
  1. Start
  2. Type: Windows Update
  3. Check for Updates/Install Updates
  4. Reboot (if prompted)

I did find an update to the device mentioned in the first part (ASUS Xonar DG Audio Interface) so was able to update that driver. I also reinstalled the graphics card driver using the method you described but unfortunately the problem persists - are there any further things I could try?

Run the GPU:OCCT test from here - NVIDIA/AMD Video Card - Test with OCCT

Run the test for about an hour, please stop the test immediately if the temperature reaches 80*C.

You can use Download GPU-Z 0.7.0 - to monitor your temperature.

I tried reducing the cpu to its stock speed and that seems to have got things stable again, so I have marked this as solved.

Many thanks for the help!
