We have seen McAfee cause BSOD's on several systems and recommend uninstalling it with the McAfee Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials. How to uninstall McAfee products using the consumer Removal Tool (MCPR)

Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes, both recommended from a strict BSOD perspective. You should also not run two antivirus software together Q: Is it bad to run multiple antivirus programs?

Microsoft Security Essentials, Free antivirus for windows

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free

information   Information
DO NOT start the free trial of MalwareBytes. Deselect the option when prompted.

Tip   Tip
Make full scans with both separately.

Start up
Keep less stuff at the start-up. Only anti-virus, this helps avoid driver conflicts and improves time to log in to windows.

Troubleshoot a Problem by Performing a Clean Startup in Windows 7 or Vista
How to Change, Add, or Remove Startup Programs in Windows 7

System Optimisers
Please remove the following software:
Start Menu\Programs\Advanced SystemCare 6	Public
This software is a known cause of BSOD's. The windows 7 operating system does not require these registry cleaning software. They often tune-down rather than tune-up and can wreck the OS beyond repair. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Check this, this and this thread for evidence.

If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, most of us recommend the use of CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything.

Not directly but it does contribute and is one of the top most cause of BSOD's, be sure to perform the rest of the steps also. Good luck.
