BSOD at random times?

Hi all, well hopefully I've done everything I'm supposed to do to help somebody help me fix my computer. Today I got a "Bad_POOL_HEADER"? Can someone please help me fix my pc problems.

BAD Pool Header research seemed to scare up a driver being the cause of those, particular keen on wireless devices, got any? and installed a driver recently? [check device manager and see if you have anything showing up with a !]

SFC /scannow
from Start | run/search box, this verifies windows files integrity.

Virus scan lately? Registry scan?

Try CCleaner from piriform.com for registry cleaning and temp files, pretty much the top freeware program for that purpose, and malwarebytes.com for their A/V scanning product.

It always crashed as I was using it & never coming out of sleep because I never use it, either it's idle or off. I haven't installed any drivers & I've restored it back to a point before I started having problems but I'm still having problems. Today it took 8 or 9 attempts to start up after it crashed the last time. It wouldn't even give me the bootup screen.I'm going to look at the other things you said then check back.....Thanks....

Oh PS: No wireless anything on here.

I used CCleaner and had it do the full deal, so I guess we'll see what happens next? Virus scans are done weakly with a paid for AVG program and I had it do a registry scan quite a while back. Where you said "Start | run/search box, this verifies windows files integrity" I can't seem to get anything to happen? I must be doing something wrong there?

When I try to run SFC /scannow from the "RUN" nothing happens it just disappears? If I use CMD then paste SFC /scannow I get a "Must be run from admin console or something like that.

After using Ccleaner something else is happening now. I can only you the "POST QUICK REPLY" part of this forum? If I try to go advanced it RE logs me in and says the thanks for logging in then I get a blank page? If I go back & click on the email link then at least I get back to the quick reply part. I was going to post a screenshot of the CMD window but can't from here?

You know an administrator account/password to login with?

Troubleshooting a work PC? Really pass this to your IT folks if this is the case.

I have been only using quick replies on here.

Alternative I think for the SFC /scannow is hit F8 key after Power On Self Test (at bootup of PC) and take command prompt option and do there.

No I never rebooted yet, I'm scared to!!! LOL. It might not start again. Yes but you wern't trying to up load a screen shot though
