I get BSODS randomly when I am on my computer.

Hi guys, I need your help because I get alot of blue screens everyday and I have no idea why. First I didnt see the BSODS as a real problem, but when I started getting them more often I started searching for help. I've tried formating my computer and I still get those BSODS. I hope you guys will be able to help me! Thank you in advance.

I am premising it that you are an advanced user, as you are using Daemon Tools Pro most safely. The program is problematic itself, but appartntly it appears that you are using it most cleverly that it cannot cause a nuisance. Still we will observe for it, if needed.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
AMD USB Filter Driver (likely part of the chipset drivers) is causing some problems there.
Code:
fffff880`02f8ceb8 fffff880`075ce4f5Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\usbfilter.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for usbfilter.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for usbfilter.sys
 usbfilter+0x14f5
And the driver is very old.
Code:
fffff880`075cd000 fffff880`075da000 usbfilter T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: usbfilter.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\usbfilter.sys
    Image name: usbfilter.sys
    Timestamp: Wed Oct 07 13:14:08 2009 (4ACC46C8)
    CheckSum: 0000B1CD

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
So you need to update your chipset drivers. Search in Support & Drivers or you may get it from the vendor's site: http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20E...load&os=Win764

The ATI display driver is also failing.
Code:
fffff880`02f8cf38 fffff880`072aaa5e*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmpag.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for atikmpag.sys
 atikmpag+0x9a5e
And it is also not the latest version here.
Code:
fffff880`072a1000 fffff880`0732e000 atikmpag T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: atikmpag.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmpag.sys

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

The realtek network driver is also failing.
Code:
fffff880`02f8c1b8 fffff880`073487c8Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for Rt64win7.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Rt64win7.sys
 Rt64win7+0x1a7c8
And that is old, too.
Code:

Update it from Realtek, take the WinXP, Win2K, Win2003 Auto Installation Program (SID:1581341), dated 2013/5/24.

Moreover, there are lots of HIDCLASS and USBPORT errors. In that situation, I searched for the xHCI controller driver, and that is old, too.
Code:
fffff880`0756a000 fffff880`075cd000 asmtxhci (deferred)

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Search in ASMedia Technology Inc. ???? for the driver for your device controller and host controller.

Search for any available updates for your Logitech Gaming USB G3 (MX518) Optical Mouse, too.
Code:
fffff880`0a115000 fffff880`0a125000 LGSUsbFilt (deferred)

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Search for updates in Support + Downloads.

Uninstall the bloatware supplied by the motherboard vendor.
  • Start Menu\Programs\ASRock Utility
  • Start Menu\Programs\ASRock Utility\AsrAppCharger
  • Start Menu\Programs\ASRock Utility\ASRock eXtreme Tuner
  • Start Menu\Programs\ASRock Utility\InstantBoot
Let us know the situation. It will, at least narrow the situation down and help us to proceed in further debugging.

Thanks alot, I am updating it right now ! I have one question, how do I know which device controller and host controller I am supposed to download? I don't want to download the wrong one . And I got some error when I tried installing the REALTEK drivers, it said this version does not support Windows Vista.

Yes, that is a mistake.

Please overlook it. From Realtek take the Windows 7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1581786), dated 2013/5/22.

Sorry for the hazard caused for the silly mistake.

Edit: being precise: take this one for asmedia: http://www.asmedia.com.tw/eng/e_show...ex=98&item=100
Code:
ASMedia XHCI Controller PCI\VEN_1B21&DEV_1042&SUBSYS_10421849&REV_00\4&3227B39C&0&0050
The other things are not that problematic to determine I guess. If still those are problematic, let us know.

About the Realtek program, is it some kind of Auto installation? Do I just have to have it on my computer? http://puu.sh/30i46.png cause there is no installation here.

HueMats

I apologize for the incorrect driver . The driver you downloaded ( auto install ) is if you're slipstreaming the driver to your Windows 7 disc .

Correct driver ftp://WebUser:r3iZ6vJI@95.130.192.21...2_05222013.zip

Follow Driver Install - Device Manager and install the .sys file. It will be done.

I went to device manager and clicked here, http://puu.sh/30iB9.png than selected the folder Driver_Win7_alot of numbers, did I do it right? I just want to make sure that I did. And I also couldn't find any download link on the ASMedia website (http://puu.sh/30iEH.png) And do I also have to update the device controller or just the host controller?

The driver is of no problem. It was my fault at the first place that I copied the wrong text. Nothing that serious that another person will apologize for that and submit a direct link of driver download. The OPs should that what they are downloading.

The drive that I suggested is not any wrong. Here is the proof ...
Attachment 269561

It is a desktop executable, for sure, and not any slipstream thing.

Please stop misguiding the OPs over and over.

Hello HueMats.

During the installation of the realtek driver, browse to the folder where the .sys file is located and click next, it will be done. Otherwise, you may take the fourth item of the realtek page. It contains a setup.exe file. Double click it.

For teh asmedia firmware, Asmedia ASM1041/ASM1042 USB3 Controllers Firmware from ASMEDIA drivers & firmwares will be easy to take. Take a non-asus one say the fourth one of the list. It will be a 7-zip file. Extract it in a folder, run the u.bat file.
