miksu, Britton30 is right. Just run it for a while like it is and see if it's stable. If iy is, we will have a base line of what stable is for you. We can worry about the other stuff later. In the mean time, I would like you to keep a close watch on your CPU temps and your GPU temps, just so we will know where we stand. As long as it runs stable, you're good.

Once tou replace the CMOS battery, first boot go into bios, press F5 (reset to defaults, answer yes whe it asks ), set your sata controller to AHCI (should be by default) Set the boot order to CD/DVD drive 1st boot device and SSD to second boot device, go into the extreme tweeker section and set AI Overclock tuner to XMP, make sure the dram frequency is correct for your ram, go to the dram timings and set the first 4 timings to manufacturers specs (it should already be set to that, but check) close that by hitting the arrow button in the top left corner, you should be back at the main menu. In the main menu scroll down to Dram voltage and set that to manufacturer's specs. If you don't know the frequency, timings and voltage it will be on the package the ram came in and on a sticker on the side of the ram sticks inside the machine. Leave everything else set to default values. In the top right click Exit, it will ask whether to save and exit or several other options. Click save and exit. see how it runs now. and check back with us. Between all of us, we will try to straighten you out. Who overclocked your board and do you know what settings he used and if it was stress tested before you received it? What was it overclocked to? If you don't already have them, please download and install CPUz, GPUz, and Core Temp. When you install these programs, uncheck all the junk software they want to install with it. Please advise what CPU cooler you have and what brand and wattage Power supply unit you are using.

So, here are some answers. The board was supposed to be overclocked by the store, but it seems it runs with normal speed. A wide stress test was included and the promise was that there will not be any problems. So they told. Yeah, right.

The cooler system I have is Antec Kuhler H20 lliquid system. The power supply I have is Corsair 750W 750TX v2 ATX2.2, 80PLUS Bronze.

I'll get back with more info later. let's see how it all runs now. I'll keep and eye on the temperatures.

That's good and those are good products in your computer. I suspect if the tech overclocked it, he put the password in the bios so you couldn't get in. That way you have to bring it back to him to make any changes. Future income. With the cooler you have and running stock, you shold have no CPU temp problems as long as it was installed correctly. In the meantime look over these tutorials. We wil be asking you to use the snipping tool and post screenshots. Don't worry it's simple, and I think you will like the snipping tool. I have it pinned to my taskbar as I'm sure Britton30 does. It can be useful.

And here is some information I gathered. Hopefully they are helpful. But, let's just see if we encounter more crashes. Let's hope not, we'll see and monitor those temp readings. Thanks for all the help this far.

Oh, damn I was hasty, I already uploaded some of the screenshots before your post. Ok, lets send them again if they aren't right.

What you did was OK, but I can't open .rar files. You can upload the pictures with the paperclip icon in the dialogue box you post messages from. Look at the bottom to see what formats are allowed.

OK, that's good. What have you been doing with the computer? The temps are well within normal range, but seem a little on the high side. Show me screenshots of CPUz. The mainboard,CPU, memory and SPD tabs. If the SPD tab is blank. In the top left select dimm 2. I'm pretty sure your board is with 2 sticks of ram, they should be in Dimm slots 2 and 4. How does it seem to be running. Have you tried any of the things you normally do with the computer? I would assume with your set up, you are a gamer. Play a game or two to see how it does. If there is anything that usually makes it crash, do that too. Use it as you normally do for a while and see how stable it is. Yes, I saw the CPUz text file. But, I like to see the screens. That's what I'm used to looking at. If you have any questions, be sure to ask. We don't mind at all. We'll answer any questions you might have. that's what we're here for and how you will learn. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

Here we go. Hopefully these screenshots are the ones you asked for.

Well, to be honest with you guys this set up I have is maybe "a liitle bit" too fancy for my actual needs. I just surf the net and watch movies! If I play something I play some of the good old ones which don't actually need this much power I just bought this computer last autumn because I just wanted to be sure that I don't "run out of juice" in the near future. Well, this system has proved to be a little too tricky and fancy for me to maintain, understand and fix. Yes, just look at the questions I've asked..I'm a beginner! I just got a tip from a totally different forum to check my problems with you helpful guys. I've learnt more about computers in this thread than I've done in a long time

Let's see how this works out. The system hasn't crashed in a while. Hopefully all the steps we have taken have helped.

Glad to hear others recommended us to you. I think I would have a serious talk with the builder of your machine and ask some pointed questions, like why isn't it over clocked as advertised and where and how did they get the stability tests they gave you.
