    Frequent BSOD Shut Downs

Hi! My computer keeps shutting down unexpectedly with a blue screen that either says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. It's happening extremely frequently, to the point that I'm using a different computer altogether to post this. I've tried starting up in safe mode, but the BSOD persisted even then; I also tried a full system restore, back to factory settings, but the BSOD shutdown is still happening. I've tried to manually update my drivers already, but they all claim to be up-to-date. Trying a system recovery or the startup repair doesn't work, and usually my computer just ends up freezing halfway through it anyway. I did run a memory check, and it told me I had hardware issues, but I don't know what KIND of hardware issues, and I don't have a warranty anymore so I can't just go into the store and ask them to figure it out.

When restarting, if my computer doesn't shut down immediately, it prompts me with a "your computer shut down unexpectedly" error report that says:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 24
    BCP1: 00000000001904FB
    BCP2: FFFFF880069F2D88
    BCP3: FFFFF880069F25E0
    BCP4: FFFFF88001AB7F72
    OS Version: 6_1_7600
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\060113-14601-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Kristie\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-27331-0.sysdata.xml

If anyone could help me figure out the issue, that'd be amazing. Thank you so much!!

    Hi aohatsu welcome to SevenForums

Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on type in CMD inside Search Programs and Files. Right click on CMD under Programs (1) choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control window click on the Yes button . Command Prompt opens up to C:\Windows\System32>_

    Type the command below

    chkdsk c: /F /R
Press <ENTER> it will ask you to schedule a restart press the Y key and then press <ENTER> and restart manually

Once the chkdsk has completed . Run a SFC /scannow

Open an elevated command prompt as you did before

Type in this command and press <ENTER>

    SFC /scannow

If it locates any corrupted files upload the CBS.log file .

    Location of file : C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log

I did what you said, the chkdsk worked fine, although I had to try it twice because it didn't work the first time. Then the SFC /scannow got interrupted halfway through because it BSOD'd me, but the second go-through it said no issues were found... right before blue screening me again. /le sigh

I uploaded the cbs.log file anyway.

Well, I removed one of my RAM sticks and everything seems to be working now; haven't had a BSOD since I took it out, about two hours ago. Thank you so much for helping me! You're fantastic.

Test that RAM so you could RMA it and get a replacement .
