The bloatware here is just an additional. The Driver Power state failure (your issue) is associated with a PnP device and its driver, and the ACPI. The driver/device takes too much time to wake up from sleep and the particular 9F BSOD occurs.

    =======================

OK ... let us take a try. First and foremost, uninstall MagicIso. The Hardware vitrualization and SCSI thereto is deadly for 9F BSODs.

    Next, Uninstall the following ....
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Multimedia
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Multimedia\TOSHIBA Media Controller
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Networking
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Networking\Bluetooth
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Support
    Start Menu\Programs\TOSHIBA\Utilities
And Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

Then follow follow Power Plan Settings - Change. At Step 5 point B, expand PCI Express > Link State Power Management. Set it to Off, then Apply and OK.

Now put the computer to sleep, wake it up. Let us know how it worked.
All right, I'll do it as soon as I get home. But as far as I can see, this will solve the BSCD issue, but what about the "invisible" nvidia card? Is that also part of the problem? Because right now, it doesn't appear in the device manager list, so I can't install any driver on it

    thanks

One day, I tried in "safe mode" to reinstall the driver, and the hardware wasn't there. If it is somehow related to the ACPI issue regarding to all the usless software, it should be possible to reinstall the nvidia card on safe mode, isn't it?

If you download and install the nvidia 320.18 WHQL, what happens?

That depends...... as I said in my first post..... After having the BSOD (which doesn't always) after recovering from sleeping), the NVIDIA card disappears. In the meantime, if you try to install the driver, while it performs the "system check", it will tell me that no hardware was found to apply the driver (and it does not appear in the device manager). But after some time, couple of days, if you try again with the same driver, it will do install just like today. Right now I'm able to install the driver, because the hardware came back mysteriously.

IS that part of the AIPC issue? or Is it a hardware/software problem?

    Thanks!

ACPI is causing some foul with the hardware. You follow my last set of instructions as a try. It will be next best than a clean reinstall for your situation, and will deal with ACPI too, to the extent we need right now. Then we will come to know some facts.

    Hello.

I just disabled all the startup items, deleted magic dics and some (not all) toshiba features. The reason is that if I delete evrything you said, my Fn Keys will stop working and the HDD protection as well.

But so far, evrything is working just fine. Havn't got knew BSOD, I hope this issue has been solved and so far, my NVIDIA hasn't gone yet. Eitherway, I wouldn't be able to make a clean installation right now, because I'm just about my master/thesis, so right now I just don't have the time to make a complete cleaning on my lap.

If this continues, I guess I will contact Toshiba and send it to warranty, or if I have some time, I will do a clean installation.

    Thanks a lot!
