    BSOD right after entering password to enter windows


    I Get the error 0x0000007E it flashes it with a bunch of there errors like 0xffff0006 or something and like two others as well then it restarts. It does not boot windows

       Note
    Run the Memtest86+ for least 9-10 passes

    Thanks for the quick reply...

    I have not used windows 7 in ages nor had problems with it, what is the memtest again? which one is the correct one to use? I actually want to open the thing, back it up for him and format it. He has a partition system on it but got some idiot to install a fresh os on the storage partition instead of fixing the os partition so he may have this problem because of free space.

    MemTest86+ forms part of the troubleshooting steps for the tutorial in my first post, there is a link to the MemTest86+ tutorial within the troubleshooting steps thread.

    There are also tools provided to allow to obtain and backup any personal files and data too.
