Are you sure you updated it with the correct BIOS version? This is very important, flashing the BIOS with the wrong version, can completely corrupt the BIOS and make the computer completely unbootable.

It may be worth trying to follow these steps - Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

Follow each step, they are not designed to repair the BIOS, if you have corrupted the BIOS then you will need to get a new motherboard or a new computer.

A BIOS update is not something to be taken lightly. It should only be done if it addresses a specific problem you are having. It should not be done just because a newer version is available. A BIOS update can fail even if you do everything right. The BIOS chip can at best be updated only a small number of times, sometimes it fails the first time.

The problem with doing a BIOS update is that you need a functioning BIOS before you can do it. After a failure that is usually not the case. The BIOS update should have had instruction about what recovery options (if any) are available. Otherwise contact Acer. In many cases the only recovery is physical replacement of the BIOS chip by a qualified technician or the entire motherboard.
