I am getting this blue screen typically while playing video games. My computer has also been acting sluggish lately, and sometimes freezing while just browsing the internet. I have followed the BSOD posting guide, and am attaching the compressed SF_Diagnostic files.

This install of windows appears to be counterfeit, the Product ID matches an OEM_SLP key for an Acer /Gateway/Packard while the motherboard is a retail board, this is only possible through a hackers exploit, please purchase a legal copy of windows format and then re-install with the new legal copy.

The computer had Windows 7 and Linux on it when I purchased it. Now I need to purchase Windows?

If you wish to receive service from this forum yes, the copy that is currently installed has been installed illegally and we do not support piracy in any form.

I'll talk to the person who built it first and see I can get a real copy. Do I need to ask for a serial code or disc, or what?

your best bet would be to go to an actual retailer like new egg or tiger direct and purchase a retail copy of windows:

Newegg.com - Software, Operating Systems, Retail, windows 7

Microsoft Windows 7 - Build custom PC at TigerDirect.com

chances are the person who sold you the PC will only sell you another illegal copy of windows.
