Windows 7: 0x0124 BSOD

0x0124 BSOD

I got a random bsod last month and today. I used a bsod tool to check .dmp and it seems like both of them were caused by the same thing. The first bsod was the one last month. It occured a little time after I installed an SSD and put two identical seagate 2tb harddrives into raid 1. One of the drives is about 6-8 months older than the other. Could it be that my older hard drive is dying? It is in raid 1 which I primarily use for storage. Could my graphics card be the problem? When the bsod occurs, my speakers have that stuttering sound that occurs.

Thanks for your time!

It appears that your copy of windows is counterfeit, the product Id matches an HP OEM_SLP key, while you are using a retail Asus motherboard. please purchase a legal copy of windows, format and then re-install using the new legal copy of windows.

Ok, I didn't know that. My friend set it up for me and said it was alright. Do you think that is the problem?

Your problem could be hardware related. Test your memory using memtest and stress your GPU and CPU.

It may be the problem, counterfeit installs are unpredictable at best and can cause all sorts of false positives for failing software or even hardware, there is no point in trying to troubleshoot such an install, in the end your fighting against something that is unpredictable, also it is against forum policies to support counterfeit software.
