Is the laptop still under warranty? I think you should be able to remove the card, but check it doesn't void warranty first if you still have it.

No the laptop is no longer under warranty, but I'm afraid of damaging my laptop further...If it were a desktop, I would have no issues removing the card . But I do believe it is my graphics card.

I appreciate your patience and help x BlueRobot thank you!

Welcome, and the other option would be to either create a entire image backup or regular backup of all your important files and data and then purchase a new laptop/desktop, or have you tried entering Safe Mode and then seeing if the system will crash then?

I'm suggesting you to enter Safe Mode, since only the most basic Microsoft drivers will be loaded for your hardware, this will help determine if there's a definite hardware fault.

Actually, I did try to enter safemode at one point, and it just hung at classpnp.sys. So I just did a hard restart. But, the harddrive had failed before, so I just installed a new one (about a week ago from now) with a fresh installation of windows 7. Ran the /SFC scan to check if any of my windows files were corrupt multiple times, which came out clean (this was before I started this thread).

Have you tried entering Safe Mode recently? Let's ensure that the hard-drive is not the problem at all.

Run some hard-drive diagnostics and follow these steps:Find your hard-drive manufacturer and run their tests.

Additional Tests:Post a screenshot of Crystal Disk Info summary:

Check for any file system errors and bad sectors using Option #2 of:Use this command with Disk Check:

Code:
chkdsk C: /f /r
