BSOD related to memory management (even after changed RAM)

    Hi all

After much google searching I have decided to post for help.

My laptop (Sony VAIO VPCEH2N1E) has started to get BSOD quite often.

The issue seems to only be occuring after a reinstallation of Windows. I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Enterprise. It is activated. I have installed most (if not all) of the drivers from the Sony Support downloads section for this laptop. Everything seems in working order.

Every now and again, random BSOD.

I have not run memtest yet but I will soon.

EDIT: Seems to give blue screen when plugging in phone, Sony Ericsson Xperia S. Software on laptop is Sony PC Companion.

    Please help,

    Many Thanks

    Daniel

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.
    Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (4 procs) Free x64
    Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
    Built by: 7600.16617.amd64fre.win7_gdr.100618-1621

A 0XC1 BSOD may be caused by a few factors like a failing driver that is passing bad data to the memory, or a failing physical RAM stick or a failing DIMM slot (which is a motherboard component). As you have replaced the memory lately, let us check for any failing driver at first.

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.
