Freezing followed by BSOD when writing to a file

    Make sure you are connected to the first port on the chipset controller and in AHCI mode and disconnect all drives except the SSD before the install.

    Before I got the SSD, the computer did not crash. When I installed the SSD, the first thing I did was a clean install. Some time after, the crashes started to occur. Also, what files would you mean?

    Well, now it is clear to me, and matches with my observation.

    Before you rule the SSD out as bad, Do another clean reinstall, taking into consideration what essenbe suggested.

    Please post back another Disk Mgmt screenshot as the previous one is not correct, with paging files both on C and the old Win 7 partition.

    nor would I want the old Sys Reserved to remain. delete it in Disk Mgmt or wipe that HD and repartition Logical to avoid having any Primary partitions preceding Win7 which can steal the boot during repair or reinstall.
