    Windows won't load - BSOD 0x1E ntoskrnl.exe

    Dell Inspiron 620s
Just yesterday, computer BSODed and crashed out of nowhere - didn't just install or uninstall anything. Can't get back into Windows but can get into Safe Mode.
I've tried numerous possible fixes - numerous System Restores, updated BIOS, updated a couple of drivers, tried swapping out RAM with a completely different stick from another machine, used Driver Verifier and it crashed but didn't give details in the dump.
One more notable item is that when this BSOD first started happening, Windows would flash this message while logging in, shortly before the BSOD: "Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification Service service, etc." That message doesn't come up anymore but alas, the BSODs persist.
SF Diag Tool dump attached. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi EzBulka.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restart.

    Let us know the results.

    You are awesome!

WOW! First, thanks for the incredibly quick response.
Believe it or not, your very first suggestion worked! The TDSSKiller took about 20 seconds to scan, find and cure a rootkit. I wish I had taken down the name but I can't recall what it was now. Now the PC boots up fine!
Arc, you're a saviour. And kudos to this whole forum, really!
