Sorry this has taken so long, I've been waiting for the CPU to arrive from America.

Which it did, today! So i've installed the new cpu and am currently running the stress tests on it. fingers crossed it work.

This arctic silver stuff is awesome though, it's running so much cooler.

Anyway, I updated the bio before to no avail and I've been running the system on a single core ever since. That worked perfectly, no bsod errors. Hopefully that means it was just the cpu and all is well.

Thanks so much for your help, i'll repost later

Just finished running the Intelburntest CPU stress test.

The system failed after the second test. I'm somewhat confused as to what to do.

I replaced the CPU with a new one. I installed new thermal paste, arctic silver, whilst following instructions. The system also always runs with a desk fan blowing into it.

I didn't heat up the motherboard with a heat gun. Is that something I should look into doing?

    Hi,

Sorry I somehow missed your post

Hmmm so you replaced the CPU and it failed the Intelburntest CPU stress test!!!!????

All I can think of is to re-check your work. Make sure no CPU Pins are bent etc
and the CPU is seated properly then stress test again.

Are you still experiencing BSOD's? If so post up a new log please.

    cheers

I've got a new dump for you. I used the tool as before, but it didn't provide any new .dump files?

As for the hardware, I've opened up and had another look and it all seems ok. What's surprising me is the prime95 tester is coming back clean and the intel burn is saying that it's unstable.
