Random BSODs caused by ntoskrnl.exe
I got a new laptop (ASUS N56VB) which I formatted and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on. I installed the drivers and OS updates and started experiencing these BSODs caused by ntoskrnl.exe.
So I thought something was wrong with my install, and reformatted and did it all again. It didn't help. I experienced the first BSOD again with the same message.
WhoCrashed analysed the crash dumps and listed this:
I've attached the file from the SF Analytic Tool as well. I read a few posts here and read about the RAM being bad. I really hope that's not the case since this is a brand new laptop.Code:On Mon 7/15/2013 7:43:39 PM GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\071513-24991-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75C00) Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFFA80079F7A10, 0xFFFFF800046583D8, 0xFFFFFA8006B49740) Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. Many thanks for anyone who helps me out.
Edit: I'd like to add that this crash did occur around 15 minutes after my laptop woke up from Sleep.
