    Random BSODs caused by ntoskrnl.exe

I got a new laptop (ASUS N56VB) which I formatted and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on. I installed the drivers and OS updates and started experiencing these BSODs caused by ntoskrnl.exe.

So I thought something was wrong with my install, and reformatted and did it all again. It didn't help. I experienced the first BSOD again with the same message.

WhoCrashed analysed the crash dumps and listed this:

    Code:
On Mon 7/15/2013 7:43:39 PM GMT your computer crashed
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\071513-24991-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75C00)
    Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFFA80079F7A10, 0xFFFFF800046583D8, 0xFFFFFA8006B49740)
    Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I've attached the file from the SF Analytic Tool as well. I read a few posts here and read about the RAM being bad. I really hope that's not the case since this is a brand new laptop.

Many thanks for anyone who helps me out.

Edit: I'd like to add that this crash did occur around 15 minutes after my laptop woke up from Sleep.

What copy of Windows 7 did you have originally?
How did you activate your new copy of Windows?

    I had Windows 8 originally.

I guess you can tell how I activated this copy of Windows 7 from my activity log?

Windows 7 Ultimate is not an option for downgrade.
You willneed to reformat and reinstall with legitimate media and Key.
