Well no bsods at all today with pc on all day playing several games too including BF3 which didn't crash and before it crashed loads. So definitely seems the memory, i will try 2nd stick tomorrow one more time if it causes crashes then i return.(going for corsair vengeance 16gb 1600mhz dd3 ram)

So seems solved now, thanks very much for your help and if you game like me add Sycho on Steam(phillies avatar) if you wish to play sometime.

Got this ram 1h ago Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMY16GX3M2A1866C9) [CMY16GX3M2A1866C9] played BL2 for 20mins or so no crashes so hope it's fine.

PC seems very very fast and responsive though now as i found with the faulty stick some things were sluggish too like typing in Steam would pause often aswell as the programme closing itself.
