Hello,

I have had a new bsod, but bsods aside my computer runs great, and the bsods are becoming less frequent it seems.

Hi,

Looks like your Nvidia driver again, have you just updated?:

Code:

start end module name
fffff880`05635000 fffff880`060e0000 nvlddmkm
nvlddmkm.sys Fri Mar 15 01:37:00 2013
Please confirm which version you have installed.

Cheers

Dave

Hello,

I checked and I did have the correct version. So I did some digging, and I found files from 4 different versions of display drivers. So I uninstalled everything nvidia related, used driver sweeper 3 times until it was clean, then reinstalled the display driver 314.22, and nforce 15.56 driver. So hopefully what caused the bsod was a conflict between the driver's files. I will check in again soon, and look forwarding to marking this as solved

Hi Wolfgar,

Thanks for the feedback and nice work with the drivers, I was going to suggest
clearing out any old drivers next, so that's cool

To recap:

We know the PCIe slots are okay, and your other Geforce 9500 GT
graphics card worked fine, and I take it your RAM is fine? Did you re-check with memtest?

So if the stable 314.22 driver fails then I would say your Geforce 630 GT has a possible intermittent fault and is failing.

Look forward to your next reply

Cheers

Also just to add can you make sure that you are on High Performance in Power Options
(Control Panel).
Also make sure that the PCI express setting is turned OFF:

Hello,

I myself have not run memtest again since getting the computer back from pcdirect after they had set the voltages. I have changed my power plan to High performance, and I made sure the PCI-E setting is off. Thank you, will check in again soon keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello,

Well I ran memtest again and the same errors came up again as before, either memtest is wrong or I need to go back to pc direct again or something. What do you think? Thank you.

Hi,

I had a feeling that would be the result. Memtest is unlikely to be wrong.
Sounds like PC Direct skirted around the issue by dropping the RAM voltage.

What is your memory configuration, 4GB x4? Dual Channel? Check it
is correct with manufacturers instructions.

You need to swap the sticks out as in the memtest tutorial: Part 3: If you have errors
This will determine any bad sticks and any bad slots.

Alternatively return to the shop, and inform them the RAM failed memtest on 4 sticks!! with same error!!
and ask them to replace either the RAM and/or the Motherboard as their solution to drop the
RAM voltage failed to fix the issue.

Have you tried just using one stick on RAM to see if the issue persists?

cheers

Hello,

I do have 4x4 gb of ram installed, and I checked to make sure it is the right configuration. I will double check with the step 3 before heading back to PC direct. Thank you.
