    Random BSOD on Sleep

Hello, I've had this ongoing problem with a fairly new laptop regarding my sleep mode. Sometimes when I close the lid to activate sleep mode, the system hangs and then goes to a 0x0000009 BSOD. I know someone with the same symptoms to this problem and was able to resolve it by installing Win8, so I'm guessing it's a software-related issue. I have the minidump file, but I can't make heads or tails of it; I was hoping someone could give me some guidance based on the minidump about what's causing this issue.

The file labeled 062513 was the same crash from a month ago, and the other was from just today.

ESET antivirus can be a possible cause of BSOD's. Yours being old (2009), I would remove & replace with Microsoft Security Essentials & the Free version of Malwarebytes, update and make full scans separately:
    • Do not start the trial version of MalwareBytes

You may also take a look at:

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although we have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). Please uninstall Daemon Tools.
    Code:
    sptd.sys Wed Jan 4 06:01:58 2012

Use the System File Checker tool and Run Disk Check:

    Reduce items at start up:
Your Antivirus software is basically whats just needed there.

Monitor hardware temperature with system monitoring software like Speccy or HWMonitor:

Next time you get a BSOD. Please 'Grab all' and upload a new zip:
