While this is very much a 'me too' I'd like to clarify for the thread (And any future readers) that I had the same issue regarding lockup on login.

However I noticed that while visually the computer was hung, I could still move the mouse around and issue commands using windows shortcuts (eg, Win+R, CTRL+Shift+Esc etc) and using some of these I could occasionally get dumped to a working desktop and the computer would continue to boot as normal.

Reading the above quote made me realise that my issues did in fact begin when I started using CoreTemp and set it to start with Windows.

Disabling the 'start with Windows' feature of CoreTemp caused the system to hang instantly, though once I rebooted the issue with login freezes was gone.

It appears CoreTemp is to blame, specifically on login due to the 'start with Windows' option.

Running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Lenovo Ideapad Laptop Note: I'm not particularly tech-savvy, so I apologize if this seems incoherent to you. Two days ago, I was trying to make my monitor display just a little less contrast, so I opened a utility called Intel HD Graphics that I found on...
