Hi,

The Chipset driver update cannot cause the computer not to (POST) boot because no drivers or anything are loaded for the first 5-10 seconds of the boot process, the board will only start to load files to start Windows after those 5-10 seconds.

So if you have a suggestion of memory error, I would suggest, cleaning and re-seating the RAM and try booting?

Or testing with just one stick installed?

cheers

Dave

If I remember correctly when he tries to boot with just one memory stick on the DIMM_A2 slot he gets a blue screen.

He could try to manually set the memory settings in the bios .

Hi,

Your latest crash doesn't show anything definitive.

Code:

Ok I managed to get it to post and start up again after hitting the memok button.
I don't know what the hell is up.
I would suggest re-reading the thread, update any of the drivers you have not updated yet, such as
intelppm.sys, you also stated your computer is reporting memory errors, so the first
thing to do is test/investigate your memory and any related hardware:

Is the memory compatible/supported with motherboard?
Clean and Re-seat all memory modules/ check the DIMM slots and ensure are clean and dust free.
Test with known good RAM. (If possible)
Re-run Memtest following all instructions closely.

Cheers

Dave
