Random BSOD

Hi,

I randomly get BSOD's while working in Word, surfing,...
Strange thing is, It's on a clean install just installed the latest drivers, MS Office and Steam. Nothing else even not the backup of my steam games due to the BSOD's. Any ideas?

I've attached the diagnostics files. Thanks for the help.

Hello shadowmitch.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.
Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (8 procs) Free x64
Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
Built by: 7600.20642.amd64fre.win7_ldr.100211-1706

Service Pack Center - Microsoft Windows

Intel RST has something to do with your BSODs.
Code:
fffff880`09811238 fffff880`01051a25Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\iaStor.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for iaStor.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for iaStor.sys
 iaStor+0x6a25
Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.
  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  4. Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  5. Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
  6. Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
  7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
Let us Know the results when done. Also upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.
  1. Click on the start button
  2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
  3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
  4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
  5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Now the computer freezes while putting my Steam Backup back for example. Would it help to format the entire computer again and re´nstall everything without Intel RST?

Go for it A clean reinstall is always good.

Also make it sure that your Samsung SSD is running with the latest firmware. Take the help of Samsung magician to determine it.

What is there in your Western Digital HDD? Do some Disc checks on it. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
  • Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Let us know the results of these two.

I did the the memorytest en this is the result:

As for the the WD disk, I use that disk to store my photoshopfiles etc. but it is empty at the moment. I plugged it in another WD disk and have still have these BSOD's. As for the test SeaTools for DOS, it does not detect any harddrive?

So it is confirmed that RAM is not the issue there. After a clean reinstall, Drivers should not be the issue, too. If it is the same with a different HDD, then the root of the error is not the HDD too. But the cables may cause the issue. Re-seat the SATA and power cables. Use those in other slots of the motherboard.

So there are three places left to look at. PSU, CPU and motherboard.

Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
Also let us know the wattage of the motherboard.

We cannot check the motherboard, but if all the other elements are free from errors, it shortens the list gradually.

PSU should be according to the website 331W, I have a Antec of 500W which should be fine normally.
As for the stress-test, computer freezes after a few minutes... I've tried another stress-test aswell Heavy load and it also crashes each time I launch it. So I suppose it's the CPU?
