BSOD - Several BSOD errors - Frequently

    Hello there,

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEC1M1E Laptop, i lost recovery disc so i installed normal version of Windows 7 Home Professional. Since I had installed new windows I have been experiencing many BSOD errors, laptop restarts after BSOD, and a new BSOD error pops up, the frequency of BSOD escalates and I have to turn my laptop off using the power button.

Here is a list of error's (only a few, there were many i cant even remember, just noted these from the BSOD screen)

    1. KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDELD
    2. DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER
    3. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    4. APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
    5. KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
    6. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I am uploading Dump files, any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanking you.

    Hello kshatriyan.

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If both of the virus scan and memtset comes free of errors, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Also let us know which antivirus do you use.

    Hello Arc,

Thanks for replying, I could run the tests, but there is a problem, laptop would crash after few minutes of turning it on, so I don't know if I can run the memory test thing, but will try and let you know.

    Thx.

Memtest will run on itself, without booting to the laptop; so it will not be the problem. Same for Windows Defender offline.

TDSSKiller will take a few seconds only.

    Hello Arc

    TDSSKILLER test was successful
Now running the MEMTEST86+, it's been 16hrs and 8 passes with no errors but the test is still going on, what shall I do? Keep it running or can I exit?

    Thanks

kshatriyan, Arc is offline right now.
Eight passes with no errors is enough, you may exit out of the test.

Successful as in? Did it find anything or not?
Have you tried Windows Defender Offline?

Ditto. Apparently 8 passes is enough .... go for the other tests like Driver Verifier.

I am exiting Memtest86+, 9 passes with no errors.

I'm gonna start the DV thing in a bit, but was wondering, since I installed new OS on my laptop, the fan makes awful lot of noise, and gets hit too, don't why??

I will post the DV results as soon as I complete that.

    Thanks Guys.
