Let me explain.

Disabling the new C-States essentially takes away Haswell's selling point of being ultra efficient
in terms of power savings. So if those are disabled we can get a better idea where the problem
is originating from.

IEST - Lets the CPU lower it's clock at idle again in order to save power.
Disabling this feature can help with system stability. Although its not a permanent fix that you should
accept it is worthy of a try.

I repeat the issue can reside in the CPU itself!
so don't buy a new expensive PSU just yet!

Thank you for the in-depth explanation, I'll research how to disable those 3 features and will run another AIDA64 stress test this evening! Time to find a guide on how to configure/tweak my mobo, these new-fangled BIOSes are somethin' else! :-P

Yeah, I'm sure the manual shows how, but it would be nice to find a tweaker's guide or something. Time to hit up Google ;-). Will keep you posted on the development, thanks again!

Also, just a quick note that I migrated my Geforce GTX 285 into the case over the weekend, and started installing programs. Borderlands 2 seemed to run very well for several hours. I decided to do all of this when I had to rip my other computer apart in order to remove and test with my "better" PSU.

A PCI / PCIe hardware issues usually result with Argument 1 = 4.
Yours equal to 0, so I believe it didn't affect anything.

Oops, I should have mentioned that I haven't done any stress testing since adding the GTX 285 to the system (the crash logs you've viewed were when I was using onboard video). Should I remove the card and go back to stress testing with only the onboard video (to run the tests with C-State disabled, etc.) to help ensure a similar testing environment?

Will do...as an aside I've installed a bunch of programs and migrated most of my data to the new HDD already (I couldn't resist since I had to take apart my functional PC to better test the new CPU). I'll also disconnect the 2 additional HDDs I've temporarily placed into the case ;-).

The software shouldn't matter in this case, 0x124 is a hardware related BCCODE.
