Need some advice/help after running SFC
The last couple of weeks my computer has crashed with a BSOD twice and it never did this before as far as I can recall. I tried running SFC /scannow and it said it found some problems that couldn't be repaired.
Not sure if this has to do with the BSODs I had and what is the best way to go from here? I really hope there's a way to fix this (if the problems are of significance) without having to reinstall Windows because I have a very complex installation of MS Flight Simulator X on my computer with LOTS of addons and configurations done that I really hope I won't be forced to do all over again.
Looked in the CBS.log file but not sure what I'm supposed to look for? The entries I was able to find where the log talked about files having been repaired they all seem to be related to IE one way or the other. This is an example from the log
Repairing corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:74{37}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32\wdi\perftrack"\[l:80{40}]"Microsoft-Windows-IE-HTMLRendering.ptxml" from store
Any help how to proceed from here much appreciated and also if I should try anything else other than running SFC? That was the first thing I came to think of after having these BSODs because I found a utility called BlueScreenView which pointed to ntoskrnl.exe as the file which might have been causing the last BSOD.
I tried restoring my computer using an image I created earlier before I had these BSODs hoping SFC wouldn't report any errors after restoring this image but no luck...the result running SFC is the very same.
