BSOD upon closing lid

Everytime I close the lid of my laptop, it usually takes 3 - 10 seconds to enter sleep mode

but recently, it takes over several minutes to shutdown, and when it finally does, it actually switches off.

upon restarting, i recieve a message saying that the error was due to a bluescreen etc etc a dump has been made etc

not sure what is causing it...

--------

If i receive the error again which i most likely will if i close my lid, i'll post the message here if that's useful, other than that, I have followed the instructions and uploaded a .rar file using the diagnostic tool.

Hi danielca .... can you enable Driver Verifier and then put the computer to sleep again?

We want/need to see the crash dump with Driver verifier enabled.

You can call me Daniel

Right, so I'm going to enable the Verifier, get the BSOD and re-run the diagnostic test so that I can send the new dump files... correct?

Doing this now.

Yes Daniel, that is what I want you to do

Coz, a stop 0x9f is a driver power state failure ..... but neither of your dumps are pointing to a driver. Hopefully Driver Verifier will e able to catch a driver that is failing the power state.

Alright, here is a notepad file with the messege of the error I get when I open up my windows and the other file is a .rar of the diagnostic test run whilst the Verifier was enabled.

May I switch off the verifier now? I think it's slowing down my PC drastically.

OK, disable the verifier. It is not showing any more information at all.
We can understand that it is being caused by some network driver. But no more information is available there.

If we take some steps on a trial and error basis, I hope you would not mind.

First step ..... Update Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN driver from Intel Customer Support
Test the result .... close the lid ... it will let you know

If nothing changed, disable Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
Test in the same way.

If nothing changed, go to 5. To Change the Advanced Power Plan Settings option of this tutorial Power Plan Settings - Change Change the Wireless adapter settings to low power saving.

Now let us know the results.

Alright, I had left my computer alone as I went to eat and it got another BSOD, so i'm guessing it's not just a closing the lid thing and more of a entering sleep mode problem in general. Right, so I downloaded the update thing and tried again, BSOD, so the update didn't work.

I disabled my network adapters (both wired and wireless) and that seemed to fix it. I even closed the lid twice to double check.

I did not try the third instruction where i set the Wireless adapter settings to low power saving yet, if you would like me to try I can do so sometime later.
