You should know by how the disk navigates and performs if the problem is actually with your hardware or is indeed in Windows 7. I would try System Restore from the options list first, then Startup Repair several times to check the boot or any other issues it detects including damaged System files. You can manually check this with SFC /SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot.

Sometimes Win7 will not repair if it is infected, so I would also use the WDO disk provided in tutorial to scan from boot to check for infection. Then it's up to you how much further you want to go before reinstalling, or if the disk wont' function you'll know it's hardware related.

Ok guys so i turned the desktop on this morning and it asked if i wanted to do a start up repair so i said sure why not and it said to do a system restore so i clicked ok and mouse and keyboard work fine and kespersky is back i have never been afraid to remove a virus protection hahaha anyone have an idea?
