I don't have any of those programs installed and I do not have any of the Dell stuff you listed.

    I do have "Roxio Burn."

Right now the system does not show a cd/dvr. When I uninstall the driver and then scan for hardware changes it tries to install the driver but says "Device driver software was not sucessfully installed".

I downloaded Microsoft fix it says:

Your cd/dvd class filter was not recognized.
Remove upper and lower class filters in the registry and it will fix the problem.

I have not let it do it yet. Should I?

Computer is working like new again. I just need my cd rom working again. It will work if I put pxhlpa64.sys back in but it will crash 3-5 times a day....

Have you removed all those program then? The Dell programs were listed within your MSINFO32 file, and should appear within Control Panel.

Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Follow the let me fix it myself option, but the fix it still doesn't work.

Thanks Harry for your help, the drive is working now. I used the Fix it for me, I did not want to mess anything up.

    Cheers,

    Rodney

I will let you know if the system crashes.. :)

Now that I deleted those programs, the computer is faster, cpu usage runs between 0-2% and I have a lot more free memory.. :)

    Thanks Again,

    Hi Rodney,

You can install this program - its free, very versatile and well regarded.

    The Official ImgBurn Website

Note: uncheck these boxes as shown to avoid installing un-needed toolbars & utilities. This doesn't affect the use or performance of IMGBurn.

You need to take care when installing stuff.....I edited my post to provide some warnings. Uninstall everything, then install IMGBURN following the advice I provided.
