Do you have the WLAN AutoConfig service enabled?
What error do you get when you try to connect to a wireless network, or are you not given the chance to begin with?

You need to check in services.

    1. Start, type services.msc and hit enter.
    2. Scroll down to the W's and look for WLAN AutoConfig.
    3. Double click it, does it look like this?

Also please upload your msinfo32 file.

Start> RUN> "MSINFO32" without the quotes then hit [Enter].
In "MSINFO32" go to, File> Save> name it your user-name and upload.

You HDD may contain all the files but that doesn't mean its in a good physical condition.
But if you feel you have exhausted my help, you're more than welcome to open a different thread :) .
Network & Sharing will be a good place.
