    New Update - More Crashes

So I guess that optimism after 3 hours is unwarranted.
I am attaching the new dump files.
Is this normal and does this ever end? How many things can be wrong with a new computer?
Thank you again for all of the help. I don't know what I would do otherwise.

    Hi Joe,

I know it is frustrating, but you have had many driver issues, and we are steadily removing or
updating the affected drivers, once we have eliminated those I'm pretty sure your issues
will disappear (but don't hold me to that )

You need to remove Mcafee, although not a AV as such, it is still contributing greatly to
your BSOD issues, and is causing conflicts:

    Code:

    start end module name
    fffff880`01400000 fffff880`014ba900 mfehidk
    fffff880`08f57000 fffff880`08f80c80 mfeapfk
    Cheers

    Hi Dave,
I uninstalled the Mcafee filter and there were a few days of quiet but then ... another crash.
I am attaching the minidump files.
I feel like things are getting better but I guess that we are not there yet 100%.
(Is there a way that I can analyze the minidump files myself?)
Thanks again for all the help.

MpFilter.sys is a Filter System Driver designed as the AntiMalware Engine of MSE.
It is most likely that there was a previous installation of an AM/AV application
    causing these issues.

Upon further investigation, I see you have Norton AV installed.

Please remove Norton using this tool:

    https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/solutions/kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us
Then uninstall MSE and reinstall, and run a system scan once updated.

Scan the system for possible virus infection:

    Thanks.
I don't have norton AV but I did install "Norton Family" internet filter instead of my Mcafee which I uninstalled.
    Could that be it?
If so, I just uninstalled the Norton Family myself (without the removal tool).
Is ther any internet filter program known to be "BSOD friendly"?
I am also scanning for viruses as recommended.
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Hi,
    Thanks for checking in.
I used kaspersky to scan as you recommended and the only thing it turned up was suspicion of Windows\SysWOW64\msxml4.dl. I assume that that is ok?
Otherwise I have not had any unexpected shutdowns. over the last few days.
I did notice that after I updated my drivers my windows experience score for desktop graphics performance dropped from 6.5 to 5.9, oh well.
I am also still looking for an internet filter that is BSOD friendly. Apparently the Mcafee family protection and the Norton family safety were each problematic. Let me know if you have any ideas.
How much can I really rely on the MSE and how much should I be scanning with other programs (malwarebyte?)
Let me know when you think my machine is stable enough to mark this as "solved".
Thanks again for all of the help.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, you could try this FamilySaftey filter:

Also essential in our day and age, this provides a whitelist for specific user logins.
You can download it at Windows Live Essentials and then activate it in the Control
Panel (activate Parental Controls). It provides time limits (for specific user logins),
the ability to block games / specific programs, and either an internet whitelist
(which allows only specific sites you designate) or a blacklist (which disallows
bad sites according to Microsoft's blacklist).

Cons: It doesn't work on Administrator logins, only "standard" user accounts.
In addition, I have seen that sometimes it just stops working for no apparent
reason... perhaps Microsoft's servers get overwhelmed? Use this in combination
with the other tools listed. (Note: to remove the chat program 'Messenger',
just uninstall Windows Essentials, and it will prompt you for which programs
specifically desired for removal--so you can leave Family Safety).

If you experience problems or do not like the program, another good filter is:

K9 Web Protection - Free Internet Filter and Parental Control Software | Free Internet Filtering and Parental Controls Software

Run Malwarebytes about once a week. MSE is recommended from a BSOD perspective,
I use it and never had any issues (I used to use AVAST).

Only you can decide if the system is stable enough :) It sounds a lot more stable
now and the unexpected crashes have stopped, so I will leave that up to you.

    Hope this helps

    cheers

    Dave
