BSOD after installing RAM?
So, #1 I know I do not have the zip file attached at the moment, I am posting from work and will do so once I get home, but I was just curious as to get some possible ideas as to why my computer is BSing after a few hours of being on. It happens in games, while on chrome, when the computer is just left on over night.
Here is some info:
I originally had the OS on a normal HDD, but bought a Samsung SSD and used the software that came with it to transfer over the OS. NO issues after that. I then bought 2 matching sticks of ram to what I had already installed to equal 16 GB of ram. BSOD started shortly after that, usually relating to ntoskrnl.exe. I take the ram out, no BSOD. I returned it and got a replacement, thinking it was a faulty stick, but with the new sticks the same thing happens. I ran memtest86+ for 10 hours, it completed more than enough pass throughs, and no errors were detected. I have no clue as to what could be causing the issue. Any general ideas as to what it could possibly be?
As far as I know, my drivers are all up to date since this did not start happening until I added more RAM.
As for the SF file, I will post it when I get home from work, just looking for some possible ideas until then! Thanks for the help!
