    Sudden BSOD, No System Changes

Suddenly, today, my HP laptop with these system specifications has started crashing at a very high rate.

There is no specific action I'm doing that triggers it. I could be writing this post (for the third time), using a word processor, or simply navigating directories.

I have tried my best to follow your instructions for this thread, but if I have left anything out please let me know and I will get any other needed information. I've attached the zip file from your SF_Diagnostic_Tool

Also, thank you for having a board dedicated to this within your forum. I look forward to finding a solution to this. Again, if any other information is needed please let me know.

    Thank you.

Is this part of the same problem?

SSD System Drive No Longer Booting After Attaching External Toaster

If so, please see my suggestion for gathering partition information in post.

    OK.

    Code:
On Wed 18/09/2013 9:00:51 AM GMT your computer crashed
    crash dump file: E:\~D1\091813-70574-01.dmp
    uptime: 01:12:25
This was probably caused by the following module: athrx.sys (athrx+0x5C8C1)
    Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0x44, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF88003ED28C1)
    Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: athrx.sys .
All 51 dmp files report 0xD1 errors pointing to a problem with athrx.sys, the Atheros WLAN driver.

Please identify the exact model you have installed, then update the driver from this source:
ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)
-- Please see BlueRobots post & link below, where he has done the hard work for us.

Let us know how you get on.

    Golden, x BlueRobot:

Thank you very, very much for your work in sorting this out for me.

I really appreciate your assistance and research in finding exactly what I need. I've been un-Blue since your fix.

    Again, thank you very much.
