BSOD - Windows 7 Ultimate x64, randomly occuring

    Hi,

I've been getting BSOD intermittently for a few months, occuring every 1-3 weeks or so roughly. It doesn't happen when I'm doing anything in particular so I'm really unsure why they're happening

    Specs:

    i7-2600k
    Asus P8Z68-V
    16GB Ripjaws
    Samsung 128GB SSD
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I've attached the SF Diagnostic Report as a zip, any help appreciated!!

    Hi MrReplay.

It is a stop 0x124, supposed to be a hardware related issue.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Are you overclocking? As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.

    Hi,

Yes I was overclocking - have restored BIOS settings to default.

I ran memtest overnight & it got to 3 passes with no errors - will run it for longer in a week or so when I go away..

I checked the PSU requirements & what I have is more than adequate. I have have a 550W CoolerMaster - 280W recommended (I don't do gaming)

I've attached a Speccy snip - is it the Graphics card running hot??

    Thanks for your help

No, the GPU is not hot ... but we have to observe how it is running without the overclocks :)
