BSOD on HP DV6
My laptop got an actually blue BSOD today, so I figured it was time to see if anyone could figure out what's going on. :)
It tends to shut down of its own volition, I think generally when it gets too hot/too much is going on, but then...sometimes it doesn't seem like what I'm doing is at all intensive. The latest happened with just Firefox and Word open.
I've had a seemingly similar issue a few times before (it began maybe two months ago, I've only had the laptop since February '13.
I thought it might be a heating issue, but this last time, it was barely running warm. However, about two errors ago (three weeks-ish), I got a message on the boot screen saying that a fan had malfunctioned. I used compressed air, and indeed the computer started to run less warmly, but the errors haven't stopped, so...
Oh, and sometimes it beeps. *not* upon boot, just in the middle of use. I might be online or playing a game (Dragon Age:Origins level graphics, usually), and then it'l beep do a high pitched beep followed by a lower pitched one, both pretty quiet. The beeping has been happening for around...4 or 5 months? It's not constant, but at its peak happened 3-5x/day, and sometimes didn't happen for about two weeks.
I can't make sense of the BDD/BCP codes. The latest two are:
