Multiple BSOD last 2 weeks - last was 0x00000001e

Hi everyone,

Lately I've been getting multiple BSOD ranging form few minutes after I start my computer to 1 or 2 hours after, even just using my browser.

Reaq in a post that it might be avg, since one of the errors mentioned avgtdia.sis, uninstalled it but it didnt work - BSOD keep appearing.

What coul be the error cause - I didnt intalled no new hardware.

Hi pauloacsm.

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.

Avast is causing issues there.

Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Update realtek network driver from Realtek.

That is what I expected, you decided early :)

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

Double click to open it.
Click this button only:
If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

You have AMD /ASUS Overdrive installed, too. You need to remove it. I'd recommend you to Clean Up Factory Bloatware, with a special reference to Point #13

13. Consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is often better than getting a new computer considering how pre-installed bloatware can corrupt Windows 7 even if it's completely cleaned up.

Scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs.

Update the network driver from Realtek. Download and install the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program dated 2013/9/24.
