    Repetitive random BSOD, 0x00000124

It happens randomly before it happened almost 3 times in a row within 10 minutes of turning on the computer!

    Hi chopp nz.

Most of all of your recent BSODs are stop 0x124; which is supposed to be a hardware error.

    Are you overclocking?
    Code:
    CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz"
    MaxSpeed: 3300
    CurrentSpeed: 3399
As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings.

    Some information is also needed:

    • Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
      eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
    • Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

    Do some hardware tests:

► Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

► Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

    ► Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

BTW, the latest BSOD is a stop 0xA, indicating some driver failure like network driver and display driver.
    Code:
    BugCheck A, {1, 2, 1, fffff80002c7afc4}

    Probably caused by : afd.sys ( afd!AfdCompletePollIrp+d2 )

    ---------
Update your ATI/AMD display driver to the latest WHQL.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center.

Update the network driver from Realtek ..... get the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program dated 2013/9/24

    Let us know the results.

    Hello,

Thank you for the VERY informative reply! It helps a great deal!

I wasn't even aware my CPU was over clocked, just now I have changed something on my mother board but I'm not sure what else I should change, I don't think I have ever manually over clocked this CPU, if anything I would have set it to Turbo mode via the Asus BIOS menu. Although currently it is set to normal, and I think i twas before.

The Furmark test went well, I didn't notice any tearing or artifacts.

I have updated the drivers you linked

These are the temperatures after hours of the computer being on WHILST using many tabs and being in a 3D animation software. A while ago I cleaned out the CPU fan and put some more thermal compound on the heat sink (I had been getting BSOD's long before that though).

I also got a program called 'Intel Rapid Storage Technology' because I heard this is good for SATA.

So far I haven't had any blue screens but it's early days

Just need to hope. I'll reply back if I do get more.
