    BSOD when playing video(youtube or netflix) new motherboard


    New computer to me anyway. random bsod with restart. started out as an h8-1211 hp machine but had a bad mobo. please help.

    It would appear that the motherboard or CPU is still hosed. The dump indicates a hardware failure caused by a third party devise on the CPU bus. In this case, the event log supports this and points to the Northbridge bus. This may be caused by the CPU not being properly seated or damaged/dirty contacts. (Perhaps thermal paste on the contacts.) If you are not familiar with removing, cleaning contacts and reinstalling a CPU, you should get help from a competent PC specialist to examine the CPU and socket contacts.

    ok so i turned the resolution down and it seems to be stable. the gpu was getting to around 54 degrees Celsius and then it would restart. I will look into the cpu seating thing although the contacts appeared clean when i switched mobos.

    it still randomly bsods with the same error even when not doing anything. sucks thats a brand new board.
