Windows 7: Registry corrupts after restarting, every time.

+1 Once I accidentally chose WU to install my graphics driver. It caused a lot of nonsense and troubleshooting beyond what anyone would probably think.

Never use WU for graphics drivers.

Yeah I think I'm gonna format, and get back to that point, skip the WU Graphics drivers. Install those other two drivers I was missing. Then try drivers direct from Nvidia and see what happens.

But that's got to wait until I get off work tomorrow, hell I should be in bed right now but I want to get this thing figured out. Have to be up in 5 hours.

Thanks for the help, if ya'll can think of anything else or need any more info from me let me know and I'll get to it when I get home from work.

I do not suggest using the driver updates from Windows Update while doing a fresh installation. I have encountered too many problems with them and prefer using the manufacturer's website for the drivers.

The Asus ATK0100 utility will frequently install an outdated version of the driver for that device - and it's known to cause BSOD's (it happened on mine!). The file name is ASACPI.SYS and the Win7 version is dated 2009 (I've seen 2005 and 2006 versions that will cause the BSOD).

Browser is restarting all the time
IE is always restarting while I'm on google chrome. I think it may be because there was this thing called connectify what I was downloading and it asked to download IE and I accidentally clicked the box and so I cancelled it. Could that be the reason why?
